One phrase I hear every year around this time from various fitness institutions is, “New Year, New You”, and I find such monotony in tired, worn out phrases like that. It is so over used, there are numerous memes making fun of this phrase easily found on the internet, and I’ve attached one to this blog!

I actually want to change the phrase to, “New year, new habits, but with more results and feeling better than ever,” but realize that might be too wordy!

I want to stress that the goal of gyms should NOT be to change the fundamental “you”, but to be your guide along your fitness journey! I don’t have a magic wand or silver bullet… but I can give you more energy & vitality, more movement & more functionality, and more of only the BEST things that come with exercise and good nutrition.

The best way to do that is to say goodbye…goodbye to old habits, goodbye to the old year, and goodbye to the old ways of doing things that didn’t serve you in 2018.

What is it that you want out of yourself this year? What is it that you want to feel this year? And lastly, how are you going to go about making those things happen THIS year?

I love this quote by motivational speaker Tony Robbins, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got.”

So yes, goodbyes and changes are always hard, but necessary for growth and goal achievement. REACH for something more and different, and you’ll find you GET something different!
See you next year!
